Tues 11 May 2010 –  Marks the start of Local Bird Training for the Environmental Attackers on Union Island, it was a great morning, we started at 5:30 am and combed the Ashton mangrove looking for Birds armed only with our visual charts, notepad, binoculars and camera. We were able to identify visually and by sound, 15 species of birds, it was an experience to die for, we engaged in discussions on how to identify them by colours and other features and by their whistle, our  trainer Robert Rankin did an excellent job at it. Thats all for now continue to look at this page for more updates. by Stanton Gomes
