Bird Training Center

As you know the UIEA will be playing a major role in the upcoming Caribbean WaterBird Census (CWC) and the Ashton Lagoon Restoration project, which will have a major Birding component. Some of the UIEA Members took part in the recent birding workshop facilitated by Robert Ranking on the 18th May 2010. Among other things it was agreed that the participants of the workshop will undergo a test sometime in the future which they will be required to have a 66% knowledge of the Birds in the Grenadines. Below you will find a link to the training software that was developed by Robert specially for Birding Training on Union Island, also there are regular field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week with Robert to have a practical understanding of Birds.

In my opinion this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be trained in Birding, which comes at no cost to us where otherwise would have cost alot. Robert has dedicated alot of time towards getting training/materials to participants, persons that are interested please set aside some time and dedicate it to this, it can only benefit you in the long term.
